Don't waste, recycle

I hate throwing old breads away. We all know that after a while ANY bread tends to get stale. It gets hard or even taste funny so instead of throwing it away why not make pizza out of it. It's cheap and easy to make. Kids love it even us adult too. You can even asked your kids to help you assemble it.

What you will need is:
1. Stale bread (like bolillo, white bread, italian roll, potato bread. etc)

2. A good-oh spaghetti sauce (any brand would do)

3. and Cheese (anything you have at home)

4. Toppings are optional, but if you have ham at home why not.

baked it in the oven for 350 degrees for 10-15 mins or till your cheese melts.

UCLA Bruins

The heat is on!  Bring it on! The Bruins team of UCLA of Los Angeles, CA is hosting a cake decorating competition on April 24, 2012.  This is the first time I participated in any cake competition.  I was so stressed and so nervous.  Below is my cake for the competition.

The cake is chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream filling.  The test tube ("Bruins") and the graduate flask was made of rice crispie treat covered in marshmallow fondant.  The DNA molecular structure was made of fondant.

If I were to win this competition, I will be taking home a $50 gift card for William Sonoma.  The judging will start later this afternoon.


Updates 04/24/2012 03:49PM EST:     I WON!!!!!!!!!!!  My ears, cheeks, face were so hot! I couldn't explain how I feel.  But, I was so excited.

This was my very first chocolate cake baked from scratch and covered with homemade fondant.  This was also my first cake covered in fondant.

Cherry Blossom Cake II

My friend wanted a simple cake with cherry blossom flowers for her daughter's birthday. I adorned the cake with pink fondant.

The cake was a red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream.

I decorated this cake for Aika's 18th birthday in California. The theme of her debut party was Japanese style. Her cake suits the occasion - a cherry blossom single tier cake.
